Are you flexible with yourself and your self-talk, especially around your blood sugar management?

What if you allow yourself to feel bad and just be with it? Something I learned many years ago is that the only way out is through – meaning whatever thing you are dealing with will sit right there in the middle of the road forward. You can try to go around it, under or over it but nothing will really change until you work your way through it. Emotional flexibility means sitting with the discomfort or pain, talking to a trusted friend, family member or mental health professional. You can work through your particular obstacle by doing this and other activities such as journaling, meditating and taking a walk in the healing power of nature.

Flexibility in all areas of your life will help you to feel better prepared for bigger challenges when they come. This gives us proof that good things do happen when we get out of our protected internal space, our comfort zone and expand ourselves.
